Philadelphia’s Brothers Past is emerging as one of the most talked about independent acts in the nation. The band conjures a new energetic sound, merging rock anthems with electronic exploration. Brothers Past has gained a reputation as a thunderous live act with an ever-growing repertoire of songs and sounds. Recently, the New York Press called Brothers Past, “the square-jawed, bastard child of Pink Floyd with a gigantic stage show.” Playing over 650 performances since 2000, the band brings their futuristic brand of improvisation to create concerts that seamlessly weave dance segments between their large and varied catalog of active songs. Consistent sell-outs of premiere venues in New York and other northeast cities, along with many near capacity shows throughout the country, attest to the band’s rising popularity and momentum.

Brothers Past is Tom Hamilton (vocals, guitar, laptop), Tom McKee (keyboards, vocals), Clay Parnell (bass, vocals) and Rick Lowenberg (drums).

The Heavy Pets (THP) are an American rock band who blend rhythm and blues, jazz-funk, nu-disco and reggae fusion. Called “a living, breathing, force of nature” by Relix, THP are known for powerhouse live performances and infectious danceable songs with thought-provoking lyrics. The group became an instant Sirius radio sensation in 2007 with the release of their double-disc debut album, Whale, driv
en by hit tracks “Operation of Flight” and “Sleep.” First embraced by the jam scene for their raw talent, the cross-over sound that is showcased on their self-titled album, which was dubbed a “Top 10 Album of 2010” by The Huffington Post, propelled them into the periphery of mainstream music.

Returning to their acoustic roots for their third studio release, Swim Out Past the Sun (2011), THP’s guitar duo set aside their electric axes for a more organic approach. Featuring a three song sit-in by longtime Jerry Garcia collaborator David Grisman, the album presents a fresh perspective from the ever-evolving quintet. Swim Out Past the Sun was produced and recorded by multi-platinum, Grammy and Oscar Award-winner Scott Mathews and mastered by Grammy Award-winner Vlado Meller.

Major festival darlings, THP have taken the stage at Jam Cruise, Bonnaroo, High Sierra, Gathering of the Vibes, moe.down, Langerado, Summercamp, All Good, Wakarusa, Bear Creek, Mountain Jam and their namesake PetZoo among countless others.
